DHCC
The DHCC Offices & Outpatient Clinical Building will form the gateway to Dubai Healthcare City Phase II. The proposed towers have been designed to offer maximum flexibility in terms of leasing arrangements, and incorporate higher floor to floor heights to allow for maximum adaptability for clinical use. The buildings have been conceived as two towers that are diagonally opposed and form the ‘gesture’ of
an embrace in the plan, a ‘welcome’ to the new Dubai Healthcare City. A podium floats above the ground that incorporates administration spaces, a community auditorium and the idea of an executive VIP outpatient experience. The ground floor plan has been conceived as a green space that forms a park with a healing garden in the form of a botanical experience, with various F&B units. It is intended that this building becomes a point of attraction and acts as a major anchor for the entire site. A place of interest, meeting, and greeting as well as a space for contemplation. The towers are made up of three components; the vertical circulation core, which is flanked by the two flexible open plan towers that are articulated with a vertical garden concept. The idea that landscape can lend itself to a healing environment for clinical spaces as well as an amenity for office space has been incorporated in the form of vertical sky garden, that are both open and enclosed.
The external design of the building has been conceived around a responsive façade that modulates solar protection whilst offering different levels of light modulation for interior spaces. The concept of the ground botanical park, the podium and the ‘floating’ towers are all aimed to work together to form a clear and concise circulation diagram for staff, patients, and visitors alike.
