Clemenceau Medical Center
With the rapid urbanization of the Abdali District in Amman, Jordan, the Clemenceau Medical Centre (CMC) a 200-bed general hospital will provide all the essential health services while offering a distinctive healthcare facility to the people of Amman and will greatly enhance the surrounding of the Abdali Development.
A Feasibility Study was developed for the proposed Clemenceau Medical Centre (CMC), a detailed Space Program and subsequently an initial conceptual scheme which addressed all the client’s requirements while identifying the challenges and assessing the viability of adapting the existing structure.
In response to the design brief, the medical planning was developed to achieve CMC’s set vision and aiming at achieving a smooth integration of medical planning, architecture and engineering solutions to make the design structurally viable, efficiently, serviceable and economical.
The site is prominently located in the Abdali District in Amman, Jordan. The Abdali District is one of the most ambitious and complex city-making ventures of modern times in Amman; creating a smart urban community that thrives on its links to its surroundings whilst developing as a vibrant & modern urban nucleus that becomes a pole of excellence attracting its residents and visitors.
The hospital design is developed to adapt the existing structure with some slab demolitions & additions. Hospital activities are allocated on the existing building blocks A (G+34); B (G+Mezz+7); C (G+Mezz+7) including 4 basement levels which are dedicated to parking and hospital support services.
The proposed design comprises of total project built-up area of approximately 80,494 sq.mts dedicated to Hospital Activities.
